The implementation of a meditation program for employees can provide numerous benefits, including:
Stress Reduction:
Meditation has been proven to reduce stress by activating the relaxation response in the body, lowering stress hormones and promoting a sense of calm and well-being. Reduced stress levels can lead to improved mental health, increased focus, and better decision-making skills.
Improved Productivity:
Regular meditation practice has been shown to enhance cognitive function, including concentration, memory, and creativity. By improving mental clarity and focus, employees can perform their tasks more efficiently, leading to increased productivity and performance.
Enhanced Well-being:
Meditation promotes overall well-being by improving emotional resilience, reducing symptoms of anxiety and depression, and increasing self-awareness. It can also improve physical health, such as lowering blood pressure and boosting the immune system, leading to a healthier and more balanced lifestyle.
Positive Work Environment:
Incorporating a meditation program into the company culture sends a message that the well-being of employees is valued and prioritized. It can contribute to a positive work environment, boost employee morale, and improve employee retention and loyalty.
Costs
The costs associated with implementing a meditation program can vary depending on factors such as the frequency and duration of sessions, location (on-site or virtual), and instructor fees. However, the potential benefits of improved employee well-being and productivity far outweigh the costs.
Parenting can be one of the biggest challenges we can face as adults. In fact, it can be one of most stressful responsibilities. .
From the top of the morning to bedtime routines, our minds can become overwhelmed with the requests, needs, emotions, and schedules of the little ones -and staying level-headed, attentive and understanding isn’t always easy.
Today, many parents have resorted to meditation to reduce stress, anxiety, and cultivate inner peace. Since meditation has been scientifically proven it is an excellent tool for Parents.
Meditation for Parents benefits the entire household and establishing a regular meditation practice is one of the best and consistent ways to teach our children how to cope with stress and other negative emotions.
Modeling meditation as a self-care tool is an effective way to teach the next generation to be calmer, kinder, wiser, more compassionate, and caught up in their heads less.
If we teach them to Relax-N-Breathe, zoom out, and adopt, we can help them have a healthy perspective on life.
In an environment geared toward peace, respect, active listening and compassion our children can thrive in the home and society.
It was stated by the Dalai Lama “If every 8 year old in the world is taught meditation, we will eliminate violence from the world within one generation.” Why 8 year children?
In a study titled "Contemplative Education: A Systematic, Evidence-Based Review of the effect of Meditation Interventions in Schools,"
showed that using a combination of mindfulness and body scanning practice on first and third graders (6-8 years old) found significant reductions in self-reported anxiety, compared to children who were engaged in quite reading and other quiet activities.
In another study, high school students following a TM meditation practice had lower anxiety compared to the group of teens napping and those who didn’t receive any treatment.
"Both studies show clear reductions in negative emotional outcomes showing the effect of meditation goes above and beyond simply “un-plugging” or engaging in restful activity."
In my personal experience, I have also had success in the classroom. Here’s what Dr. Rose Spencer had to say about the Relax-N-Breathe class I taught at her school.
“As the person that spends 11 hours a day with the students, I have first hand knowledge of the impact that the meditation has on the students.
There are less outbursts, less behavior issues and less negative actions. Due to Bro. Rock's teaching, the students have learned to calm themselves and their minds, when a problem arises.
The students love the meditation classes and are always eager to demonstrate what they've learned. I love the classes because they've helped me, help my students.”

Can Meditation help children with ADHD?
Many leading ADHD experts agree, meditation is the very thing your child needs the most.
One of the main challenges associated with ADHD is learning how to slow down and pause before they act, and Meditation helps them do just that!
Parents of children with ADHD know
One of the symptoms of ADHD in children is that it causes them to react to every stimulus that comes in – without questioning or thinking about them first.
Children who have full executive function of the brain are able to stop and make a decision about how to respond to a stimulus. Children with ADHD often go straight into reaction.
If a child can be taught to Relax-N-Breathe for a moment we can impact his or her ability to choose a different action.
It was stated by, Erin Snyders, an ADHD parenting educator and coach;
“In order for your ADHD child to begin to develop the executive function / self-regulation skills she lacks, she must become aware of her thoughts. Meditation or “mindfulness” is hands-down the number one way to do this. Like, really guys, I’m not sure there is another way.”
Meditate with your Children at Home
Meditation at home can make a big difference. Create a special meditation space, this is one of the most important steps in creating a meditation culture at home.
This should be a place that is not a busy area at home. It should be somewhere you and child can connect and unplug. Enjoy making the space together or let the child put it together. Either use this time to connect in peace.
